Being that these are my top two favorite brands, I love how they are so comparable! If there is one automotive rivalry I wish were a thing, it is between these two brands. So pretend for a moment that they match performance options and just tell me which model you gravitate towards from each of these head-to-heads:
1. XJ v. Quattroporte
2. XF v. Ghibli
Remember when I asked you to “pretend?” Yeah, make sure you do that...
3. F-Type v. Alfieri
4. XK v. GranTurismo
5. F-Pace v. Levante
Just tell me which vehicle you gravitate towards from each class. Any other Maserati lovers out here? I know many appreciate, but is there anyone else that would put the brand in their Top Three Favorites?
My order is Maserati, Jaguar, Kia (yeah, 4real). To those curious, my picks jump back and forward as I daydream about ownership. Can’t help it, infatuation is intense and fleeting by nature!

I’ve heard the Ghibli is a bit poo, but other than that I’d take the Maserati on all those.

Seconded, I personally don’t find the Ghibli and Quattroporte to be that great.

I do prefer Jag sedans. I like the Levante over the F-Pace (which I didn’t expect to happen) and I’m on the fence with F-Type and theoretical Alfieri because I have an issue with the F-Type design. I’ve mentioned it two or three times before, so nothing new there.

I hear that too, but I’m betting it’s an awesome car for $32k, which shouldn’t be too long of a wait with these reviews!

Jag every time - Maserati ruined the brand withe BiTurbo back in the 80s, and the offerings since seem to all have performance or quality issues. Or are complicated ....

Not to be an apologist, but I sort of feel like you can say something similar about every single brand. Difference being everyone else has been back on track for the last five to eight years. Maser is lagging badly!

Jag went thru a dark period, but Ford at least taught them to build a wiring harness that wouldn’t lunch itself. That was a good thing.

Jaguar for all of the above.
Fun fact: A used car dealership somehow got a Maserati franchise a few miles from my house. It’s across the street from a Harbor Freight and a gun shop. They park Chevy sparks and aveos amongst $80-120K Italian exotics.

Jag. Easy. The GuyFieri and Gran Turismo are the closest matches for me though.
My top three: Mercedes, Jaguar, Land Rover.
